Billing & usage
Eryx combines a subscription plan with included monthly credits. Some plans can use on-demand usage when included credits run out, up to a spend cap you control.
Plans and included credits
Each plan includes a monthly allowance of runs and credits for the current billing period. Exact numbers are shown on Pricing and in the app under Billing.
On-demand usage
On eligible plans you can enable on-demand usage so workflows can continue after included credits are exhausted. Usage beyond the included amount is billed per credit at the rate shown for your plan.
You can:
- Turn on-demand on or off.
- Set a monthly spend cap so charges never exceed what you expect.
If a run would exceed your cap (or on-demand is off and you are out of included credits), the app blocks the run and explains what to change — similar to how leading developer platforms handle metered add-ons.
Where to manage billing
Signed-in users should use:
- Billing — pick a plan, start checkout, open the Stripe Customer Portal (payment method, invoices, cancellation).
- Usage — credits and consumption for the current period.
- Spending — on-demand usage, rates, and your monthly spend cap (on eligible plans).
Invoices and tax details are handled in the customer portal, not inside Eryx.
Trials and upgrades
If your workspace is on a trial, upgrade before the trial ends to avoid interruption. Upgrades to a higher self-serve plan start a new subscription immediately, cancel the previous plan, and reset included credits for the new billing period.
